UKCS regional aquifers - hydrocarbon fields

Based on a variety of publicly accessible datasets, this dataset associates hydrocarbon fields with stratigraphic intervals. The dataset includes the interpreted status of key geological intervals associated with hydrocarbon fields. Status categories are: Primary - the shallowest reservoir unit recorded for the field - this represents the top of the hydrocarbon column; Secondary - stratigraphic units older than the primary unit that are reported to contain hydrocarbons. Note: secondary columns have not been identified in this version of the dataset.
